An 8-year old boy’s mother brought him for a session to see about managing overwhelm. He was feeling tearful in the mornings as he adjusted to changing teacher in the new school year.
I gave him a 20-minute Indian Head Massage. I find Indian Head Massages are great for boys are they can sense what I’m doing. For children, this is a very gentle massage of the upper back, upper arms, neck and head. He enjoyed it and looked relaxed after it.
The next day, there were no tears before school, although there was still some anxiety. The Indian Head Massage had relaxed the nervous system to a point where he was able to cope.
