One of the most challenging things we try to do is to effectively relax. Effective relaxation means we bring our mind into a calm and neutral space. From a calm and neutral place, we can calmly assess situations to find a balanced solution to situations.
We need relaxation, an uninterrupted time-out where we can be under no pressure, where our body and mind can come into a balanced place to reassess and adjust. It’s important to find a way to relax that suits you. It needs to be effective. You’ll know it’s effective when you feel calm and rested after it.
Regular effective relaxation helps to protect our heart and helps build our immune system. Being relaxed helps boost our memory, and helps us make better decisions, making us more effective at home and at work. Effective relaxation helps us to sleep better and become resilient to stress, which helps us improve our relationships.
Here are some suggestions to help you find your calm neutral mind.
1. Taking a walk, with the phone on silent, and not looking at it.
2. Meditating, or developing a practice like yoga
3. Simply having a quiet, uninterrupted cup of tea
4. Finding someone like a massage therapist, energy worker or reflexologist who can give you an uninterrupted time our.
