Hello! Welcome to this week’s self-care guidance for 16-22 September 2019.
Each of you, was well as myself, are under pressure from something every day. We need some pressure to get motivated and get things done. However, when that pressure manifests as frustration, insomnia, poor concentration or poor choices, then it’s time to practice a little self-care. Self-care renews our physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual energy so you can be your best you. Aromatic Kinesiology – Essential Oil Support This week’s essential oil is Eucalyptus. Eucalyptus helps us when we feel overwhelmed and want to feel integrated. When we become overwhelmed with the details of daily life, the refreshing and stimulating influence of Eucalyptus sorts individual bits of information so that that we can understand it. From this sorting of information, we can develop a strategic system for handling the details of life. When we understand where we are, we can get organised, create systems and plan ahead to get to our destination. Eucalyptus will encourage your mind to discover an appropriate way to respond to situations, rather than over-reacting when your ability to respond is diminished. The answer that arises from an integrated state of mind will always be the most beneficial. Put a couple of drops of Eucalyptus on a cotton pad or in a diffuser. Breathe it in, and allow your body and mind to integrate your thinking process. What aspect in your life is requiring integration? How could greater organisation move you away from overwhelm? What planning do you need to do? Stress Management Technique Declutter! Go through your home or office, a little bit at a time, and decide what you need and what you ned to let go of. Decluttering helps release stagnant energy and frees you up from holding on to things that no longer serve you. I invite you to devote some time to your self-care this week and book a session with me. This could be Aromatic Kinesiology, Indian head massage, reiki, foot reflex massage or a Kundalini yoga class. Or spend half an hour listening to one of my guided meditations, available at on Bandcamp. You’ll find information on all my services at www.relaxfromstress.ie
