21/2/2017 0 Comments Understanding Mindset“Having the right mindset” is a phrase that’s often used. When we’re stressed and frustrated, it can be hard to even understand what having the right mindset even means. Our mindset is our self-belief about our skills and qualities. We can have a fixed mindset or a growth mindset. As we move through life, we can change from one mindset to another.
In a fixed mindset, we believe our basic qualities, like our intelligence or talent, are fixed traits. We spend time identifying rather than developing. When we have a fixed mindset, we believe that talent alone, without any effort, create success. When we have a growth mindset, we believe our abilities can be developed through dedication and hard work. In a growth mindset, we have a love of learning and a strong resilience that is a central to success. How do you approach life? Is it from a fixed mindset or a growth mindset? Do you believe that you are the way you are and there’s no changing? Or are you constantly curious, wanting to learn new things, changing your understanding of who you are? A growth mindset is essential to achieve our goals and dreams. Often we need to learn, develop and change our patterns to improve our health, finances, career and relationships.
