25/10/2016 0 Comments The Importance Of ConnectionConnection is a vital part of minding your mind. This has two parts – connecting with yourself, and connecting with others.
Connecting with yourself means bringing an awareness to your thoughts and feelings. What is the balance between your negative and positive thoughts and feelings? When you observe your thoughts and feelings, you may find that you think or feel more negatively than you thought. Or perhaps you think or feel incredibly positive. When someone thinks more negatively, then they may find it hard to see the good in the world. When someone is overly positive in their thinking, then they may be ignoring deep feelings of anxiety and hurt. By connecting with our thoughts and feelings, we can work on healing them. Journaling and meditation are fantastic ways to connect with ourselves. It’s important to reach out and connect with others. Humans are social beings and we are need others to survive. We need people around us for different reasons. Some people are fantastic to have fun with. Others are good to talk out problems with. Then there are people who share similar hobbies and interests and it’s good for the mind to connect with them. Connecting with others can be as simple as meeting someone for a cuppa, or contacting a local community centre for information about local hobby and charity groups.
