3/10/2016 0 Comments Self-Care Is Not A LuxuryOne of the biggest issues that people have with self-care is guilt! We're reared to give to others. Giving to ourselves is seen as selfish.
How can you help others if you're feeling overtired, overwhelmed, overworked, depressed, anxious or irritable? Are you really giving your best to other people if you are run down? Self-care is not a luxury! Self-care is a survival mechanism! Life is about balancing giving and receiving. If you've been doing too much giving, that's when you feel drained and rundown and overstressed. If you don't learn to stop, the Universe will make you stop. Then you become sick! When we're sick, we're not able to help ourselves or others. We need minding. Self-care is not a luxury! Self-care is a survival mechanism! If each person learns to practice self-care and balances that with spending time caring for others, what a wonderful world it would be. Right here and now though, self-care is important so that you can keep doing all the things you want to do, in the right physical, mental and emotional health. So, what are some good self-care ideas? 1. Taking a bath, if you can. 2. Getting a facial, a massage or some kind of treatment that you love! 3. Taking a walk on a beach or somewhere in nature. 4. Taking a time out to sit in the car and read a book, if your house is very busy! 5. Eating a diet with few sugar and processed items. 6. Exercising your body and minding it. 7. Enjoying your hobbies or learning to find something you enjoy. 8. Knowing when to talk to people about your problems. 9. Understanding your personality tyoe, so you understand your needs and your challenges. 10. Finding something fun to do!! Enjoy taking care of yourself as much as you enjoy taking care of others!
