The new year is here! I love new year. It’s a fresh start and a new beginning. We’ve reflected on 2016 and have an idea of what we want to achieve in 2017. One of the biggest pitfalls for New Year’s goals is we try to be successful in the first week of the year and spend the rest of the year in a state of self-criticism when we fail.
In Kundalini Yoga, when we choose something to work on, for example, a prosperity meditation, we practice it every day for 40 days to change the habit or 90 days to establish a new habit. We can use this idea for new year’s goals. You have 365 days to achieve your 2017 goals! Work on one goal at a time and you’ll begin to see fantastic results!
Tips to Achieve Your Goals:
1. Work on one goal at a time.
2. Ask for help. For example, if you want to lose weight, exercise, learn stress management or stop smoking, who can help you make life easier?
3. Make a plan and commit to it. Whether it’s making a meal plan, and exercise plan or meditating daily, commit to it for 40 days to change the habit.
4. Commit to your goal. Often the first 20 days are the toughest, and in the final 20 days, new habits become second nature.
