Hello! Welcome to this week’s self-care guidance for 30th September to 6th October 2019.
Are you feeling physically exhausted? Are you feeling mentally exhausted? Are you feeling emotionally exhausted? Feeling physically, mentally or emotionally exhausted is a sign that self-care is needed. You need to be aware of the signs that your body and mind send you. Then you know when and how to take care of yourself. Just like listening to a growling tummy is a sign that you need water or food, your body and mind sends signs that you need self-care. Physically, your muscles may be tight, or you may feel exhausted. Mentally, you may be finding it hard to concentrate or make decisions. Emotionally, you may be irritable and unable to find anything good in the day. When you feel depleted like this, an oil that often comes up through muscle testing in Aromatic Kinesiology is Ginger essential oil. Ginger helps us move from depleted to sustained. By putting a couple of drops of ginger on a cotton pad and inhaling every so often, ginger begins to restore and balance your energies. It’s like ginger turns a dial within you, so that you become open to being sustained in every moment. What do you need to do differently to preserve and conserve your energy? One way to preserve and conserve your energy is to take a time out to laugh. Laughter raises the spirits. Find something funny, whether it’s having a good belly laugh with a friend, watching a comedy or watching comedians or animal videos on YouTube, laugh the stress and depletion out of your body.

Hello! Welcome to this week’s self-care guidance for 23-29 September 2019.
You need physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual energy to be your best you. Self-care renews these energies and provides the fuel for an effective, resilience, energised, wise and meaningful life. One of the signs that self-care is needed is that you’re sleep deprived. Perhaps you struggle to get to sleep, or you wake during the night. You certainly don’t feel rested when you get up in the morning. Feeling like this is a sign that it’s time to look at ways to improve your sleeping patterns. This week’s stress management technique is: not everything can be changed – once we are able to accept that there are somethings we can’t change; it will become easier to move past those things. So start now by focusing on taking charge of what you can control. When it comes to our sleeping patterns, we can control the environment, what time we go to bed, or finding some therapy or technique that will help you develop a good sleeping pattern. Some of my clients find monthly or bi-monthly regular treatments or weekly yoga classes help a lot. This week’s essential oil reflection is Spikenard. Spikenard helps us when we feel overcome by grief and want to move towards resilience. “In today’s world, sometimes you can’t fight, you can’t fee. The only way out it to learn to flow” Dr. Robery Eliot We experience grief in many different ways, the loss of relationships, jobs or finances, thoughts and beliefs, life setbacks or loneliness. We can even experience grief as we move in a wonderful new direction. New directions mean saying goodbye to old ways of doing things. Spikenard helps us rebuild foundations after grief changes us. It helps us to connect with and call on our strength and resilience to nourish and settle the emotional heart. Care for yourself as you grieve. Trust yourself to create conditions that will support and comfort you. What qualities and strengths do you draw on when times are tough? I invite you to devote some time to your self-care this week and book a session with me. This could be Aromatic Kinesiology, Indian head massage, reiki, foot reflex massage or a Kundalini yoga class. Or spend half an hour listening to one of my guided meditations, available at on Bandcamp. You’ll find information on all my services at www.relaxfromstress.ie Hello! Welcome to this week’s self-care guidance for 16-22 September 2019.
Each of you, was well as myself, are under pressure from something every day. We need some pressure to get motivated and get things done. However, when that pressure manifests as frustration, insomnia, poor concentration or poor choices, then it’s time to practice a little self-care. Self-care renews our physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual energy so you can be your best you. Aromatic Kinesiology – Essential Oil Support This week’s essential oil is Eucalyptus. Eucalyptus helps us when we feel overwhelmed and want to feel integrated. When we become overwhelmed with the details of daily life, the refreshing and stimulating influence of Eucalyptus sorts individual bits of information so that that we can understand it. From this sorting of information, we can develop a strategic system for handling the details of life. When we understand where we are, we can get organised, create systems and plan ahead to get to our destination. Eucalyptus will encourage your mind to discover an appropriate way to respond to situations, rather than over-reacting when your ability to respond is diminished. The answer that arises from an integrated state of mind will always be the most beneficial. Put a couple of drops of Eucalyptus on a cotton pad or in a diffuser. Breathe it in, and allow your body and mind to integrate your thinking process. What aspect in your life is requiring integration? How could greater organisation move you away from overwhelm? What planning do you need to do? Stress Management Technique Declutter! Go through your home or office, a little bit at a time, and decide what you need and what you ned to let go of. Decluttering helps release stagnant energy and frees you up from holding on to things that no longer serve you.
